Who still rememebers the days of the agile versus waterfall debate? while its seems a given that the agilists have won the day, those ancient waterfalls still carry their weight. Every board meeting has at least one waterfall proponent asking what’s the long term plan? Flustered employees always ask what do we do after the next thing?

Are they right? of course they are!

The question needs to be “are they for real?” the real world keeps on showing us how quickly situations on the ground change.

So what’s the answer?

The Goal!! if everyone is on the same page on what the Goal is, then the strategies and micro paths are easier to journey and adapt.
